Contact a qualified welfare officer for soldiers in Maitland at the Maitland Sub Branch. We work to support veterans and servicepeople with a comprehensive range of services available to our members.
Maitland RSL Sub-Branch building at 3 Bulwer St Maitland, was rebuilt and officially opened by our then oldest serving Life Member, the late 92 year old Mr. Tom Taylor on 11 November 1999. The Sub-Branch was formed on the 1st of June 1919 by returned soldiers and sailors who served in World War 1. It is now one of the few sub-Branches in the state which provides a Monday to Friday service to its members. Maitland RSL Sub-Branch holds its Annual General Meeting on the 1st Sunday in February each year.
We have a qualified and accredited Welfare Officer available for our members and their families and a Visitations Officer. As of January 2021 there is no qualified accredited pension officer. Pension Officers are available, at East Maitland and Cardiff sub-Branch's. These are available to all members of the ex-service community at no cost to the member or their family.
